Locally Stored Data: Favorites and recently viewed items are stored locally in the app's private storage on your device and are only accessible by this app. This data never leaves your device. Because all personal data is stored locally, you can permanently delete it at any time by clearing the app's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the application.

Usage Data: We use Google Analytics to track anonymized interactions within the app (such as which birds are viewed or searched for) to help us understand what works well and what needs improvement. We do not require an account to use this app, and no personally identifiable information (such as your name, email, or exact location) is ever collected or transmitted.

Cached Data: Bird species data is loaded from our servers at runtime; images and network responses may be cached on-device (app cache) to improve offline performance and reduce your data usage.

Purpose of Processing

We collect and process anonymized data for the following purposes:

Access & Rectification: Your favorites and recently viewed items are stored locally on your device and accessible only to you through the app. You can modify your favorites list at any time within the app.
Erasure: You can clear your favorites and cached media from the app settings. Uninstalling the app or clearing the app's storage via your Android settings will permanently remove all locally stored data.
Opt-out of Analytics: You can control analytics consent through your account settings at any time.

Children's Privacy

Find a Feather is suitable for all ages and is designed for educational purposes. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone, including children.
